Despite the fact that I steadfastly refuse to believe in Winter Holiday Season until the beginning of December at the earliest, I also understand the value of having a handy-dandy list of Things That I Would Like, Should You Desire to Get Me Something.
Let me preface this by saying that I don't want folks to buy me anything just because they feel obligated. That's annoying and silly, and not the point of this. I like gifts, but don't buy me something because you feel that you "should" or "have to". If you want to, I won't complain, but again, you are under no obligation.
Right now, a lot of what I'm thinking about is related to my Jagermonster costume for the upcoming (yes, yes, I know that it's ten months away; I'm just excited) Kumoricon 2008. In that spirit, some of these items are costume pieces that I'd like.
A nice set of epaulettes, preferably worn-looking. Not what are modernly considered to be "epaulettes", either--I'm talking about the big round gold dealies with all the fringe. I'd prefer to go with something vintage, if at all possible.
A trilobyte pendant or brooch.
A set of these teeth, these teeth, and/or these claws from Dental Distortions.
Large brass buttons. Preferably matching, and with an eagle/military pattern, or blank.
A gift certificate to Art Media.
More Copic markers. I'd love to do more art with them, but at $5 a pop, they're a bit spendy. Even if you got me one marker, I'd love you forever. I use the double-ended kind, with a brush tip at one end and a chisel tip at the other.
A gift certificate to Jo-Ann Fabrics, or indeed to any local fabric store.
Old military medals.
Some gold or brass-colored Fimo or Sculpey.
That's what I can think of at the moment. Again, let me repeat: no obligation.
