"We want bread, yes, but roses too."

This has been a damnedly good weekend. I feel very much at ease, listening to IWW songs with Utah Phillips and Ani DiFranco. Despite some of the stuff that's going on around me at a frantic pace, I just feel mice and laid-back.

I went with Tyson today to see Hellboy. I quite enjoyed myself. The special effects makeup and the CGI were both awesome, and the plot, while compressed quite a bit from the comics, was still satisfying. All in all, worth the three dollars.

And hopefully, it'll be a good week as well. I'll be house-sitting for my coworker Lynn this coming weekend, which means, of course, that my love and I get a house for a weekend. You have to live vicariously like this if you don't actually live together, you know. You take what you can get.

mechalith, aprilstarchild, Katrina, and I have started taking walks together twice a week, and I think that it's really doing everyone present a lot of good. We get some exercise, get to see one another more often, and connect more frequently. It's a pleasant feeling to be surrounded by kindred spirits, and to know that they're there for you.
