Oow Civil War reenactment. That sounds way cool! I've always been intrigued by the Civil War re-enactments partly because it's one of the most interesting spots of American history, and because it's the 19th century, yippy! I've thought lots of times that if the oppertunity arose I would totally go for it, lol in fact I would go for any period historical reenactment really. Another neat military reenacting group is the WWI reenactors. I met a group of them at a museum festiful in Ispswich last time I was there. I'm not sure if this is the approriate wording for such as miserable war like WWI but, they were so--so--adorable--so real looking! I-am-such-a-Geek, but I just wanted to take one of the guys home with me! They were also very dedicated as well. They had a working machine gun, which they opporated, and the little white tents like in Galipoli, plus one of their big events they spent Christmas in the Somme in Trenches! I was so impressed! I have some picutes of them if you would like to see them sometime the group was called the Kacki (like the pants, sorry about the spelling) Chums.
It's a bummer you have to do a study a long text book. I took a drivers ed course one summer it was so boring I called it the Drivng Breakfast club, that and it was in the morning. I remeber the text was so mind numbingly boring! I totally know how you feel I'm such a procrastinator queen! I often think myself about things I would rather do. It's even harder when what you would like to do is something creative because it's not like you would be wasting the time you were not studying. Sorry! I'm not helping!
Um? Maybe you could do a little schedual thingy? I'm not very good at these myself, but some people, I have heard, spend an hour studying their books, then and hour of something they would really like to do then go back to the studying for an hour. I tend to loose track of my hours doing that, but maybe it could work for you? Also I have trouble studying with others because it distracts me, but if that doesn't bother you perhaps you could study with someone and they could quiz you? I can't really think of anymore right now but I could let you know if I do if you like. Good luck with the study book my friend!
