Ah, the joy of quizzes!

Today, there was a LAN party at the house. Although the file sharing aspect of it interests me, I didn't want to use a perfectly good day staying inside. So what did I do, you might wonder. I went outside and sat on the porch for the entire afternoon, reading, thinking, writing, watching the sky and the birds, and doing what most folks would consider "doing nothing". I had good food, saw friends, conspired with setsunaearth, gave myself a foot massage, and had a very real day. Real in the sense of grounding and centering, and knowing what's really important and what, though important, can be allowed to fall by the wayside.

Now it's evening. I saw the beginnings of the sunrise this morning, watched it climb through the sky from midday on, and then watched the sun set and the moon rise. I was present and here for most of the day. It felt good and solid in a way that few other things can.
