Apr. 6th, 2006 10:33 amI have returned from beyond the veil of death. And I've brought presents. Mmmm, presents...
Not really, but that's how it feels. I've barely been online recently, and it's sort of nice to come back, even if only for half an hour or so. Plus, returning from beyond the veil of death might be more fun than what's been going on recently. It hasn't been bad, necessarily, just one damned thing after another. I'm glad that my head's still attached to the rest of me.
Tonight, I must e-mail
catvincent, or no John Constantine for me. (I'm constantly amazed by what the library has that I didn't know about until recently.) I must also sit down and work on my CD for the CD exchange that I'm involved in. I haven't decided whether I want to do more of a personal CD, or whether I want to do a Beltane-themed CD. My month to send out CDs is May.
For those of you who haven't seen it, do go over to my gallery and take a look. I'm pretty proud of some of the pieces that I have up.
Ye Olde Druid Handfasting was actually pretty touching. Despite problems from the outset, it went beautifully. We held it indoors due to rain, I made some new friends on the long trip down, and things were generally a lot of fun, even if I got next to no sleep. Pictures forthcoming.
Two more things before I go. One, I'm doing that "guess my favorite character from each fandom" meme.
1. Pick 20 fandoms. Anime/books/movies/tv shows/videogames/etc.
2. Have your friends list guess your favorite character from each item.
1. The Young Wizards series by Diane Duane
2. Pirates of the Caribbean
3. Harry Potter
4. Transmetropolitan
5. Sandman
6. the Drizzt Do'Urden books by R.A. Salvatore
7. the Invisibles
8. Anita Blake
9. Preacher
10. Lord of the Rings (either the books or the movies)
11. Batman: the Animated Series
12. Labyrinth
13. Order of the Stick (webcomic by Rich Burlew--www.giantitp.com, click on the "comics" button)
14. Babylon 5
15. Daria
16. Star Trek (the original series)
17. Elfquest
18. the Tortall book series (I believe there are 4 quartets now) by Tamora Pierce
19. H.P. Lovecraft's works
20. Star Trek (Next Generation)
Two, due to it being yet another all-consuming art project that I still can't seem to stay away from, I'm beginning the preliminary brainstorming for a Vamp game-themed tarot deck. Yes, you heard me correctly. A Vamp game-themed tarot deck. Yes, I'm probably insane. But I have most of the major arcana already figured out, and stuff. Here's the list:( Read more... )
