Well, technically I've been back for a couple of days now, but I've only recently gotten grounded in normal reality again. And yes, I fully realize that the word "normal" is subjective. Still, I'm back to the 8-to-5 work routine again, as opposed to having an awesome, awesome weekend with
sweetpea_grubb in California. So yes, I'm back! Miss me?
You know, I was honestly so wrapped up in having fun with Gen this past weekend that I even forgot that yesterday was Obama's inauguration. As far as I was concerned, until someone reminded me of things political, it was just the first day in a long six months or so until I get to see her in person again. I might write a little something or other about politics later on, but right now, my brain's still partially in California.
More later on, but to put it succinctly, I learned that I love rollercoasters and that Gen is mightily amused by watching me scream when I go on them; that ice cream makes a perfectly acceptable dinner; that spontaneity is something that I can actually be good at when I try; that one can, indeed, see the entirety of the San Diego Zoo in 3 hours, even if one does have to buy a pack of AA batteries for $9; that Genevieve has good taste in music, and an adorable cat who's even cuter in person; and that I can ice skate when given some good, solid instruction and a toddler to race with. And that I love airplanes and flying in general.
Also, the Dimo coat is done! Hooray! All that I have to go now is the contacts, the hat, the bandolier, the vest, and the sash, plus practicing the makeup. Woohoo!
And yes, Tom, switching Vampire game to this Saturday is fine with me.
