One of my favorite songs of all time, and a bit of gratitude

Many, many people know and love "The Rainbow Connection" as sung by Kermit the Frog. Don't get me wrong--it's a great song, and I love it. I'm a big Muppets fan. Even so, though, my favorite song from any of the three original movies has got to be this one: Gonzo singing "I'm Going to Go Back There Some Day". On a lot of levels, the lyrics of this song mean more to me, and resonate far more. I dunno. I've always been a Gonzo sort of girl, myself.

Anyhow, I'd just like to say thank you to all of my friends for being yourselves around me. I love my friends who have similar views to myself, because we can talk about those issues and things that we care about, and it's nice to have support there to bolster and provide stability. I also love my friends who have different views than I do, because they challenge me to see the world in a different way. I've particularly been enjoying just listening to some of my more conservative friends recently. I like being reminded that not everybody sees the world the way I do. I get far too comfortable in my own world, and even if I don't agree with what's initially being said, I appreciate the fact that it's been said, and that we can talk about it without there being hurt feelings.

I'm both enjoying the challenge of getting to know new people, and of re-learning old friends. Thank you.

post-script: "Wilderness Way" magazine

Also, I must admit that I'm confused. I haven't had a subscription to Wilderness Way magazine for a good while now, but still received the summer issue in the mail yesterday. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I love the magazine, but didn't have the money to continue my subscription. There was no note included on the issue, no "free trial" thing, no "this is a gift from", or anything.

Like I said, I'm not complaining. I'm just puzzled. If someone out there bought me a subscription, thank you. :) I'd like to thank you personally, but if you want to stay anonymous (if you exist in the first place), then that's fine, too.
