You know that you're slowly but surely growing addicted to using your blog when you go to the movies, and at the end of the movie, you say to your boyfriend, "This is SO going in my journal!"
So here's the deal with yesterday. Oh lovely, lovely yesterday. Yesterday, Ryan, Jax, Tyson, and I went to see "Hook" at the Forest Theater. We were a bit late, but it turned out to be all right anyhow. I thought it was sort of funny when we walked in--Ryan and Jax both wearing black shirts, me in my new and, I must say, very becoming black shirt, and Tyson all in black, with this nifty shirt that feels like a mixture of Ultrasuede and silk. I didn't stop petting that shirt all night. :)
Anyhow, here we are, all at least wearing black on our upper halves. And the movie's starting. I love "Hook" in and of itself. I get drawn into that movie more than I'd like to admit sometimes, wishing I was one of the pirate extras on the ship or something. But what happened towards the end was what touched me. It was at the end of the movie, when Tink tells Peter "You know that place between sleeping and awake? The place where you remember dreams? That's where I'll always love you, Peter Pan. That's where I'll be waiting.". Tyson and I are always pretty touchy-feely during movies; it's just how we are. He had a pretty tight grip on my arm, and squeezed it tighter. Now, I'm not sure whether it was just that part of the movie, or the whole movie that affected him, but I looked over at my love, and he was crying. It's the first time in two and a half years that I've ever seen him cry. I held him, and at the end of the movie, licked his tears away when he took his glasses off. I was crying too, so he reciprocated, and then held me tight and whispered in my ear, "I love you, Molly-Lady." I almost started crying again, but managed not to as I whispered to him, "And I love you, Boy." And then I gave him a kiss--a real one.
After that, we went out to Scottie's for dinner, although for Tyson and myself, it was the first thing we'd had to eat all day. We went off to the Cornelius Cinema then, and enjoyed "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Tomb Raider 2". "Tomb Raider" was fun, and "Pirates"...
..."Pirates" ROCKED.
