birdspiritlandIs completed! The pictures are terribly grainy, but here's what I've got, both with the veil down and the veil up:
The hat, in case you can't tell from the grainy pictures, has three pigeon wings, two ostrich feathers, lots of little fake flowers, and a starling and a pigeon skull on it. The veil is chiffon, and can be tied up around the brim. I've been wanting to make this hat for years, and now am very excited to have it finally done. It's going to be a bitch to ship to Boston, but *so* worth it for Halloween there!
